DIY - Peace's flower basket ( B-Day Pics)

DIY Projects, MomFelicia LaTourComment

Hey everyone!!!!

I wanted to share a really easy DIY on Peace's birthday basket she was sitting in. She loved this basket so much and now we just keep it in her room and throw random stuff in it. To make the basket it only took me about 45 minutes to an hr. so make sure you have time to sit and create :)

All right, here we go.....

I bought a basket from World Market ( Favorite store in the whole world !!! ) Before purchasing, I put Peace inside at the store and she didn't want to get out lol! It was really cute! I wanted to make sure she could fit comfortably. Link above but here is a picture also.

The following products are ALL from Michaels, each item is linked :))

Wire Cutters $8.99

Green Floral Wire : $1.99

(Comes in different sizes, I bought the thinest wire so its lest noticeable)

Flowers - Grab whichever you like :) I grabbed lighter colors just because they are my favorite.

Steps :

Cut Wire with wire cutters to attach to flowers and basket -

Trim flower stems so that you can wrap them around basket.

Take your flowers & wire, wrap wire around the flower and weave the wire in and out of the basket, positioning the flowers against the basket.

Add as many flowers as you'd like and do the same thing around the whole basket

All done :))

DIY: Glitter Vase

Mom, positvity, DIY ProjectsFelicia LaTourComment

If you know me, you know I love to do arts and crafts and can get real creative when in my zone. This is a project for anyone! The impatient mom who is waiting to hit 40weeks ( put a mask on. ) Or even the mom who has some down time while the little one naps. I mean, you don't even really have to have kids I just recommend this for moms because its a way for us to be able to have a little fun moment to ourselves. Make this with your girlfriends or even for your desk at work, the list goes on! Click play and lets get started.

*P.s

A few things in the video I want you to know:

- I used 2 layers of spray paint, the first layer I let dry for about a minute before applying the second layer. Keep in mind, holding the spray paint far away from Mason Jar will help it have even coats without dripping spots.

- I worked fast when putting on the glue so that it didn't dry before applying the glitter.

- I let the glitter/glue dry for about 30 minutes before putting flowers inside.

Products:

(I purchased everything from Joan's Art store)

* Kyrlon- Metallic Spray Paint

* Mason Jar (Large size)

* Mod Podge (Glossy)

* Gold Glitter ( Any brand, I like the the thicker pieces of glitter)

* Paint Brush

* Fresh Flowers :)

Enjoy!!!
