12 Weeks Postpartum / How's mommy hood?

We are almost to our 3 month mark with baby Peace and I have to admit, she's the BEST thing that has ever happen to me! She will be 12 weeks on Christmas and time is flyinggggg by. It makes no sense how quickly they grow. 

Being a mom has opened my eyes so much. I am able to be a teacher and a student, I am able to know what unconditional love is, I am able to see someone smile for absolutely no reason at all. You get so excited about the littlest things i.e.: "OMG she smiled!" or "She rolled over!" It takes everything back to its simplest form and its such a blessing to be apart of learning  some new tools all over again. 

My work life is going pretty good. I honestly don't have an OFF button when it comes to work so I went back only 3 weeks after having Peace. Now that I am 12 weeks into being a mom, I am going to try and ease up a bit on work. I am realizing the importance of allowing my body to heal (mentally, spiritually, physically) properly  takes time. It took 9 months to create this little person and I had to be told 1,000 times "take it easy Fee!' I recently had a really big emotional breakdown just from being overwhelmed and I pulled the plug finally telling myself to rest.

A lot of moms to be ask me "did you go through that postpartum depression thing?" HA! Ya damn right I did. It isn't fun. I still notice myself having moments of feeling down and weary but I make sure I deal with those emotions and vent to someone I know loves me. It isn't an easy thing. Your body is trying to figure out how to be "normal" again. Just like my mother-in-law tells me "don't be so hard on yourself, your body needs time."

Peace is my little best friend, I am so thankful for her! She gives me a hunger and fire within that nobody else could have ever done. She has like magical powers of me lol, I am sooooo in love!!! She goes everywhere with me and just keeps me on my toes. She lovesssss people and loves to smile. She just learned how to get peoples attention by her oohhh's & Ahhhh's its amazing! 

I can now say I know what a mothers love feels like. Its been 12 weeks and everything still seems so surreal. I love the good, bad, and ugly because who would I really be if it was only always good. For the parents who aren't in your children's life, let me be the first to tell you, YOU ARE CRAZY! Don't let another day slip away without being with your little one. Nurture them like you would a plant, feed them, love them, read them. Its a beautiful thing and I am so excited to see what this next 12 weeks brings!

Appreciation goes a long way -

Yesterday I had a friend who went out of their way to make me feel special . I had no idea that I affected this persons life so much , yet I was thankful . Sometimes as humans we tend to forget how much work we are doing for others in our lives we naturally don't seek the reward . For me personally , my reward is when I can impact someones life in a positive way . We as humans need to sit those down who affect us and let them know how much they have influenced your life . A simple card , fresh picked flowers , or even a hug and smile . Show your gratitude in hopes of warming someones heart and giving them strength . You might help some one more than  you can probably imagine . If we all showed appreciation, we would all probably have more energy to give being reminded that we are helping someone . Lets make the world a more beautiful place one gesture at a time .

Product Haul -

Ok Yesterday I decided to grab a few new products . I switched up my location and went to Sephora ( for once in my life ) ! I have my makeup store I usually always go to but wanted a variety of higher end products ! Lets get to Reviewing !! I'll go 1 by 1 from left to right as the photo is set up . 

YSL Touche Ecla ( Radiant Touch ) High Lighter : 

Now I know this is an older product but I've tried  lots and lots of highlighters and finally got my hands on this little fella ! They have a range of about 8 highlighter sticks which is amazing ! The price is $41.00 U.S dollars . Not that bad for the quality you are getting ! This product is made for highlighting the brow bone as well as under eyes , forehead, chin , and cupids bow . You can apply with a beauty blender which is what I like or you can dab with your finger . First apply your regular concealer, right after apply this product to highlight the areas you want to look brighter in . It was originally made for runway models so you could imagine the finish . Nice and  creamy with a beautiful healthy glow ! I personally don't like when my skin is caked up so this is a perfect product for me !!

Benefit Fake Up : Now this is one concealer I restocked on !  I love love loveeeee this for the daytime ! It is VERY hydrating ! It has this interesting hydration ring around it which is Vitamin E & Apple seed extract . The concealer is in the middle ! I also apply this directly on my skin than bounce out with a  beauty blender . I don't need to wet the beauty blender because its already a very hydrating product . Use this under the YSL Touche product ;) This is $24.00 U.S dollars . Not too bad at all and lasts a long time ! 

Sephora brand lip Gloss : "My lip Gloss is Poppin " … I love love love this lip gloss ! I usually buy all my glosses from MAC but really wanted to break some habits and try Sephora for once ! I bought a nude one since my lips already have a natural pink tone to them I just like to gloss them up for day to day things .I bought a neutral gloss in " Beige Craze " mmmm its super bomb ! Only runs for $14.00 U.S Dollars and comes in a good sized bottle !

Sephora Outrageous Volume Mascara : Mascara Mascara Mascara -  I was also on a hunt for a new mascara ! I decided to also try Sephora brand product . Now I usually us Loreal mascara but I love to experiemnt . One of my all time favorite mascaras though is " They're Real" by Benefit but it drys out veryyyyy quickly and is a pretty penny to purchase ( bummer ) . I grabbed " Outrageous Volume " mascara and I love it ! This product is $15.00 U.S dollars and actually works good for the everyday working woman. I love the rubber brush it has on the end and it separates very well ! Comes in Black , Jet Black & blue !

Tutorial Tuesday !!!

Todays Tutorial release is all about eyebrows !! My favoriteeeee thing to do makeup wise ! Eyebrows are the most important part of the face because it frames everything . Now I know brows are in trend BUT a lot of us need help with them ! Some over fill or over carve out our brows and it doesn't look natural . My youtube will show you two seperate ways to do your eyebrows so its customized to each person. When I'm doing makeup I never do my clients eyebrows the same being each client has their own style and its important to me to customize their look at all times.  A big tip before starting your eyebrows is MAKE SURE THEY ARE WELL GROOMED ! I request all of my clients to do this . The more out of control they are the more makeup we have to apply to hide that fact . I personally love getting my eyebrows threaded and some love to get them waxed. Please ladies DO NOT OVER PLUCK ! I've had sooooo many clients that wish they would've never over plucked their eyebrows and now have very thin eyebrows and no shape. Vitamins everyday keep the doctor away -

A daily vitamin for women is so necessary !! Some of us don't get enough nutrients in our diet to keep up with our health . Our bodies need several different things for our hair , skin and nails to grow & glow  . Keep in mind that if the inside of your body is in good shape , the outside will be fantastic ! You can't fix the outside without fixing the inside. This is something to keep in mind with everything in life ! Just like you can't create a positive environment with a negative mind set . Work on the inside and the outside will come together ! These are the vitamins that I take daily . I began to take this after noticing my diet was lacking in certain departments. This helps me stay on point with my necessary nutrition intake and I feel good when I keep up with it . I have way more energy and I feel pretty :) who doesn't want to feel pretty lol !!! .
